Job summary

Cox Automotive in Michigan is seeking a diligent Vehicle Entry Clerk to input accurate vehicle information for registration using a handheld computer, record VIN, stock numbers, dealer ID, and vehicle specs.

You will affix barcodes, place routing labels, install OBDII devices, coordinate with transporters, and follow safety procedures while supporting Safety Excellence in an outdoor work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, reach, talk, hear and lift up to 15 pounds.

• Input accurate vehicle information using a handheld computer (zebra TC) for each vehicle received at the auction.
• Record VIN, stock number, dealer identification number, make, model, year, mileage, color and options.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• Associate and install OBDII tracking device.
• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
• Follow all safety and health procedures and support Safety Excellence.

• Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required
• Basic computer skills required
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• This is an outside position with exposure to the weather elements in Michigan.
