Job summary

Cox Enterprises in Riverside, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Vehicle Intake Associate to accurately log every incoming vehicle into the AS400 system using a handheld device. You will capture VIN, stock number, dealer ID, and key vehicle details such as make, model, year, mileage, color, and options to support their auction operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 13 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 system using a handheld device.
• Record VIN, stock number, dealer identification number, make, model, year, mileage, color, and options.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle.
• Associate Tracker device to WO# and install on the vehicle.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles; flag 'no key' cars.
• Direct transporters to the correct drop zone and report damage.
• Take digital photos of vehicles upon receipt.
• Provide proper sale identification windshield code for the registration area.
• Follow all safety procedures and support Safety Excellence activities.
• Assist on sale days as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 computer using a handheld device for each vehicle received at the Auction including:

  
  
  
  

  • Vehicle Identification number (VIN)

  
  

  • Stock number

  
  

  • Dealer identification number

  
  

  • Make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.

  
  



• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.




• Associate Tracker device to WO# and install on OBD port or strap 2nd generation tracker around steering wheel.




• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry. Flag \"no key\" cars.




• Direct transporters to proper car drop zone. Report transport damage as needed.




• Take digital image of vehicle upon receipt.




• Provide proper sale identification windshield code to the person who is driving vehicle through the registration/check-in area.




• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.




• Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.




• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e. assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes, etc.
