Job summary
Oshkosh Defense in Oshkosh, WI seeks a Development Engineer for Chassis Controls Systems & Software to lead embedded software across braking, steering, suspension, propulsion, and stability control. You will collaborate with systems, controls, hardware, calibration, validation, and supplier teams to deliver robust software for safety-critical vehicle motion control.
From concept through production support, you will help advance software-defined platforms while ensuring compliance with ASPICE,
Qualifications
- Accredited bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- 3+ years developing embedded automotive software and calibration.
- Experience with embedded control systems for automotive apps.
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink or ETAS Ascet.
- Knowledge of CAN/CAN FD, LIN and Automotive Ethernet.
- Experience with UDS, DTCs and calibration tools.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Define system requirements, control strategies and software architecture.
- Drive the definition and evolution of Vehicle Motion Controls architecture.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, calibration and validation teams.
- Deliver software/ECU releases through reviews and configurations.
- Support MBD, MIL, SIL, and MIL verification activities.
- Coordinate across Powertrain, ADAS and supplier teams.
- Ensure compliance with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and ISO/SAE 21434.
