Job summary

Oshkosh Defense is seeking a Development Engineer for Chassis Controls Systems & Software in Oshkosh, WI. You will drive embedded software development across braking, steering, suspension and stability features, coordinating with systems, hardware, calibration and validation teams to deliver robust, safety-critical software.

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years in embedded automotive software and/or calibration.
• Experience with embedded control systems and automotive applications.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or ETAS Ascet.
• Knowledge of DOORS, Jama, or equivalent requirements tools.
• Ability to work with CAN/CAN FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet, UDS/DTCs, and calibration tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, validate, and release embedded software for chassis control systems.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for vehicle motion control domains.
• Lead software verification, calibration, and release activities.
• Support safety and regulatory requirements throughout development.
