Job summary

Schweitzer in Sandpoint, ID, seeks a year-round Vehicle Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair resort vehicles and heavy equipment, including buses, trucks, groomers, snowmobiles, and snowcats.

You will perform preventive maintenance, welding, fabrication, manage repair docs and parts orders, and support other maintenance teams. Must have Class B CDL or ability to obtain, lift 100 lbs, and have at least 1 year of mechanic experience.

Qualifications

• Class B Commercial Driver's License required or able to obtain.
• GED or high school diploma preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of mechanic experience.
• Must be able to lift around 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Repairs diverse vehicles: buses, trucks, groomers, snowmobiles, snow cats and ambulances.
• Performs routine servicing with oil changes and standard checks.
• Manages work orders and documents repairs.
• Procures parts and places orders to complete repairs.

The role also performs preventive maintenance, welding and fabrication work, manages repair documentation and parts ordering, and provides support to other maintenance departments as needed.
