Job summary

Larimer County is hiring Vehicle Licensing Technicians for the Fort Collins, Loveland and Estes Park offices. You will help customers with titles, registrations and related services while working a weekday schedule with occasional Saturdays.

Join a team serving over 300,000 residents, learn the licensing processes, and provide excellent service in a dynamic environment at multiple county locations.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a clerical or customer service field or in the performance of similar duties.
• Reliable transportation to work in any County facility as needed.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Notary Public within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in person and by phone with vehicle titles, liens, registrations, and related transactions.
• Process mail-in and drop-off titles, liens, registrations, and disability placards.
• Answer questions, provide resources, schedule appointments, and direct customer flow.
• Uphold Colorado statutes, rules, and Larimer County policies during processing.

Vehicle Licensing Technicians help serve a population of more than 300,000 Larimer County citizens by processing vehicle titles, registrations, and so much more. The typical schedule for this position is 7:55 AM - 5:10 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional partial Saturdays.

What you'll be doing:

• Helping customers in person and over the phone with various transactions, including but not limited to processing vehicle titles, liens, registrations, and persons with disability placards.


• Receiving, sorting, logging, and processing mail-in and drop-off vehicle titles, liens, registrations, and persons with disability placards.


• Assisting customers in the waiting areas by answering questions, providing resources, scheduling appointments, and directing the flow of customers into the office.


• Enforcingthe following:
  
  
  
  • Title and registration procedures established by Colorado Statutes, Rules, and Regulations of the Colorado Department of Revenue, as well as Larimer County Policies and Procedures.
  
  
  • Secure and Verifiable Identification procedures established by Colorado Statutes and Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Department of Revenue.
  
  
  • The Driver’s Privacy Protection Act of 1994 and Personal Identifiable Information regulations established by Colorado and Federal Statutes.
