Job summary

LKQ Corp. in Avon, IN is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Clerk to evaluate and manage salvage auto parts inventory. You will identify parts, decode interchange codes, and ensure accurate stocking across the yard and warehouses.

You will use Outlook, Word and Excel to track inventory, communicate findings with the dismantle team, and support process improvements. Starting pay is $19–$22 per hour with a daytime schedule and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1+ years of related experience preferred
• Experience within inventory controls preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inventory levels for salvage automobile inventory and determine proper product stocking.
• Identify vehicle make, model and options; decipher manufacture option codes for accurate interchange.

Apply now and take the first step toward a rewarding career!Responsible for evaluating and reviewing the company's overall inventory management.Starting pay $19-22/hrSchedule M-F 7:00AM - 3:30PM overtime as needed **Essential Job Duties*** The ideal candidate will have intensive background working with salvage automobile parts and interchanges* Ability to work independently while staying on task to meet increasing performance demands* Must be able to accurately identify vehicle make, model and options.* Must decipher manufacture option codes on vehicles and parts to accurately identify interchange of parts* Drain vehicles of fluids including freon, gasoline, diesel, coolant etc....* Evaluate inventory levels for all salvage automobile inventory and determine proper product stocking.* Communicate opportunities found within inventory.* Research and investigate missing inventory.* Correct errors found by corporate oversight.* Evaluate inventory for accuracy.* Assume other duties as assigned.* Collaborate with management and the dismantle team to make process adjustments as directed.* Ability to endure outdoor environments through the majority of the shift (extreme hot or cold, rain, snow)* Must be fluent in or learning and using technology (smart phone, tablet, computer) **Supervisory Responsibilities*** Not responsible for supervising employees.**Minimum Requirements** **Education & Experience** * High School Diploma/GED* 1+ years of related experience preferred **Preferred Requirements*** Experience within inventory controls. **Knowledge/Skills/Abilities*** Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.* Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.* Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.* Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.* Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.* Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.* Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.* No additional competencies required. **Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment*** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time.* The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.* Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).* The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
