Job summary

LKQ Corporation is hiring for an inventory-focused role. You will evaluate salvage inventory, identify vehicle interchange options, and communicate optimization opportunities to the team. The position requires handling outdoor conditions, using smartphones or tablets, and lifting up to 75 pounds.

Starting pay is $19–$22 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule and potential overtime as needed. Prior inventory controls experience is preferred, and proficiency with Outlook/Excel/Word will help you

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of related inventory experience preferred.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate inventory levels for salvage inventory and determine stocking.
• Identify vehicle makes/models and interchange options.
• Communicate opportunities found within inventory to team.
• Research and investigate missing inventory and correct errors.
• Collaborate with dismantle team to adjust processes as needed.

Apply now and take the first step toward a rewarding career!Responsible for evaluating and reviewing the company's overall inventory management.Starting pay $19-22/hrSchedule M-F 7:00AM - 3:30PM overtime as neededEssential Job DutiesThe ideal candidate will have intensive background working with salvage automobile parts and interchangesAbility to work independently while staying on task to meet increasing performance demandsMust be able to accurately identify vehicle make, model and options.Must decipher manufacture option codes on vehicles and parts to accurately identify interchange of partsDrain vehicles of fluids including freon, gasoline, diesel, coolant etc....Evaluate inventory levels for all salvage automobile inventory and determine proper product stocking.Communicate opportunities found within inventory.Research and investigate missing inventory.Correct errors found by corporate oversight.Evaluate inventory for accuracy.Assume other duties as assigned.Collaborate with management and the dismantle team to make process adjustments as directed.Ability to endure outdoor environments through the majority of the shift (extreme hot or cold, rain, snow)Must be fluent in or learning and using technology (smart phone, tablet, computer)Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNot responsible for supervising employees.Minimum RequirementsEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma/GED1+ years of related experience preferredPreferred RequirementsExperience within inventory controls.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.No additional competencies required.Essential Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time.The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
