Job summary

ADESA is seeking a meticulous vehicle inspector to support dealer and consumer interactions at our Belton location. You will inspect vehicles for condition, wear, damage, and previous repairs, and capture results using mobile devices.

You will provide clear, professional communication and deliver timely reports to support accurate valuations and service delivery. Responsibilities include photographing vehicles, recording inspection data, and collaborating with sales teams to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• 1 year Automotive experience: Repair Shop, Educational, Hobby.
• Mechanical Aptitude.
• Ability to enter data on a handheld device.
• Ability to identify previous repair after training.
• Ability to identify basic mechanical issues (sludge, suspension damage, radiator damage).

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles for wear, damage, and prior repairs.
• Capture data and images on a mobile device and upload results.
• Interact professionally with dealers and consumers as the face of ADESA.
• Submit completed condition reports using the provided technology.
• Complete road tests if required by contract or inspection type.
• Maintain equipment and tools; report maintenance needs.
