Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Vehicle Feature Requirements Engineer to own end-to-end lifecycle of technical requirements for automotive features. You will translate stakeholder needs into measurable functional and non-functional requirements and ensure traceability across system, software, hardware, and validation.

You will collaborate with global stakeholders, apply INCOSE practices and ISO 26262 considerations, and guide requirement changes through formal review

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 1–5 years automotive product-development experience covering requirements definition, authoring, analysis, review, or lifecycle management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for precise technical requirements and cross-functional reviews.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 and INCOSE requirement practices (elicitation, decomposition, allocation, analysis, traceability, verification, and change management).
• Ability to coordinate deliverables, manage priorities and dependencies, and meet program milestones.

Responsibilities

• Requirements Ownership: create, author, review, baselining, maintenance, and status tracking of requirements.
• Requirements Analysis: ensure clarity, completeness, consistency, feasibility, and testability.
• Stakeholder Alignment: facilitate cross-functional reviews and resolve gaps and interface dependencies.
• Feature Definition & Tailoring: decompose needs into platform-level functional and non-functional requirements.
• Customer-Centric Inputs: use VOC, benchmarks, and field insights to derive measurable inputs and acceptance criteria.
• Traceability & Change Control: maintain bidirectional traceability and manage changes through formal processes.
• Validation & Compliance: define acceptance criteria and verification methods; ensure safety and regulatory alignment.
