The North Carolina Department of Administration is seeking applicants for a Vehicle/Equipment Repair Technician II for our Motor Fleet Management division. This division is responsible for maintaining a State Fleet of passenger/cargo vehicles for purchasing, assigning, providing maintenance/repair, and monitoring and disposal of vehicles at the end of their life cycle. The division operates a fleet of 7,300 vehicles on a $37 million yearly budget. The division also monitors vehicle misuses, accidents, and vehicle preventive maintenance schedules using Fleet Best Practices and operates a Cabinet Member inventory of vehicle and trailer titles.
Key Responsibilities: This position is responsible for repairing all systems of an automobile to factory specifications on an as needed basis and also performs preventative maintenance on vehicles. Specific duties will include, but are not limited to:
