Qualifications

• Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a State of Michigan Motor Vehicle Mechanic Certificate.
• Experience: five or more years of related vehicle or construction equipment repair.
• Must have certifications in Light and Heavy Suspension; Light and Heavy Drivability; Light and Heavy Electrical; and Light and Heavy Brakes.
• A valid Michigan Driver's License and the ability to earn a Michigan Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within one year of hire.
• Thorough knowledge of engines, electrical, hydraulics, and braking systems; welding and fabrication basics.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills; ability to maintain records; and respond to emergencies outside normal hours.
