Job summary

BraunAbility seeks a seasoned engineer to own vehicle-level electrical behavior across the product lifecycle. You will define architectures, integrate hardware and software, and troubleshoot complex interactions from prototype to production launch.

The role requires hands-on hardware design, embedded software development, and strong collaboration with manufacturing, suppliers, and OEM platforms to ensure robust validation and successful vehicle programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in EE/CE or related field.
• 5+ years in automotive or transportation industries.
• Experience designing and troubleshooting electronic hardware.
• Embedded software development experience.
• Experience with CAN, LIN, UART, SPI, I2C networks.
• Hands-on with test equipment like scopes and analyzers.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own vehicle-level electrical system functionality and integration.
• Define electrical architectures, interfaces, signal definitions, and system behavior.
• Develop system requirements and interface specs between hardware, software, and vehicle subsystems.
• Lead OEM vehicle integration activities across multiple vehicle platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex system-level issues.
• Design, review, and troubleshoot electronic control modules and circuitry.
• Support schematic development, PCB design reviews, component selection, and prototype validation.
• Develop embedded software for vehicle control systems.
• Support implementation of control logic, state machines, diagnostics, and communication protocols.
• Develop and troubleshoot CAN and LIN network communications.
• Assist with software verification, release activities, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure proper hardware-software integration.
• Develop integration, validation, and diagnostic test plans.
• Coordinate issue resolution with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and OEM partners.
• Develop engineering documentation: system architectures, interface docs, validation plans, specs, and test reports.
