Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Garage Services Technician in Marshall, MI to support development, testing, and validation of test vehicles and equipment at the Eaton Proving Grounds. This role emphasizes preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and setup of test benches with instrumentation.

You will collaborate with engineers, operate diagnostics tools, and document all work while maintaining high safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Automotive Technology or related field from an accredited institution.
• ASE certified or equivalent certification OR a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a technical, laboratory, motor sports setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience diagnosing vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting on test vehicles and equipment.
• Setup test benches and vehicles for dynamics tests, including wiring and instrumentation.
• Interpret work requests with engineers and document test results, calibration records and drawings.
