Job summary

Eaton’s IS VEH VGGP division is seeking an entry-level Validation & Verification Engineer in Southfield, MI. This hybrid on-site role focuses on validating transmission systems for commercial vehicles, planning tests from unit to vehicle level, and supporting modeling and simulation activities.

You will work with cross-functional teams to identify issues, improve performance, and contribute to robust, safe, high-quality designs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
1–2 years of relevant engineering experience (Co-op and internships acceptable) in product design, product testing or manufacturing.
U.S. work authorization; will not sponsor CPT/OPT or other visa programs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good English communication (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

Perform validation and verification testing at unit, subsystem, and vehicle levels to fully validate requirements.
Analyze vehicle test data to investigate, identify, and resolve issues and performance concerns.
Perform/support vehicle modeling and simulation activities to predict performance and impact due to hardware variability.
Develop test methods and perform testing of vehicle power transmission systems.
Utilize the FMEA process to enhance design robustness.
