Job summary

ZF Group in Livonia, MI is seeking a Vehicle Integration Engineer to join our Vehicle Development team. You will lead integration of ABS, TCS, and ESC software, analyze system requirements, and ensure performance matches customer and internal standards.

You will work with vehicle CAN buses, calibrate control algorithms, and collaborate with OEMs and cross-functional teams to deliver robust vehicle dynamics and reliable testing from HIL/SIL environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 5+ years automotive product development experience including algorithm development and calibration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint; programming knowledge considered a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel for testing are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ABS, TCS, and ESC performance software integration to optimize vehicle dynamics.
• Analyze and design system-level requirements and architecture for slip control products.
• Own performance of vehicle slip control system and interface with OEMs on performance issues.
• Maintain documentation and generate reports; coordinate issue resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct vehicle testing and data capture in HIL/SIL environments and at testing facilities.
