Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Vehicle Dynamics Tuning Engineer in Chelsea, MI to contribute to vehicle dynamics development by evaluating test results and guiding programs toward requirements. You will collaborate with simulation teams, drive and test vehicles, and apply tuning experience from proving grounds to improve ride and handling.

The role requires a BS in engineering (ABET) with automotive product development experience, plus strong problem-solving, communication, and project

Qualifications

ABET-accredited B.S. in engineering or equivalent.
Experience in automotive engineering product development.
Suspension architecture and development experience.
Vehicle ride and handling tuning or development experience.
Proactive and reactive problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience from cross-functional interaction.

Responsibilities

Provide feedback to programs based on test results.
Drive and test vehicles and communicate with simulation engineers.
Leverage proving grounds experience to tune based on subjective evaluation.
Understand suspension and chassis architecture and their effect on ride and handling.
