thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. is seeking a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to ensure Bilstein dampers meet dynamic performance, durability, and manufacturability requirements from concept to end of life.

The role develops expertise in passive and electronic damping and supports internal teams with market trends and product insight. The engineer will lead testing events, analyze damper data, and translate findings into hardware or software improvements.

Competenze

• 3-5+ years of experience in vehicle dynamics with a focus on chassis systems.
• Hydraulic and software damper tuning experience; ability to modify valve codes.
• Experience with data collection tools and statistical analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with vehicle development life cycles from prototype to production.
• Proficient with MS Office; experience with PowerBI/PowerApps is a plus.

Mansioni

• Coordinate vehicle testing events with customers on domestic and international proving grounds.
• Travel up to 50% to customer proving grounds during peak season.
• Prepare components, resources, and equipment for ride events with project teams.
• Document ride event activities including damper data and feedback for improvements.
• Identify gaps to customer requirements and translate into hardware or software changes.
• Report on ride event activities and plan future event needs with teams.
• Organize damper builds for short-term studies and report results to teams.
• Ensure damper characteristics meet Bilstein standards and customer specs.
• Collaborate with system integration on tuning strategies for semi-active dampers.
• Provide vehicle dynamics requirements to TI department for new systems.
