Title: Ride and Handling Engineer
Location: Saline, MI
Duration: Long Term Contract
Position Description: Ride and Handling Requirements: The primary responsibility of this role is to develop ride and handling performance of vehicle frame, body, and chassis.
Responsibilities
- Development of ride and handling performance of vehicle frame, body, and chassis (suspension, bushing) through prediction, evaluation, and analysis.
- Use CAE FEA, MBD, or other simulation methods to solve problems.
- Collect vehicle and bench test measurements while collaborating with technician team members.
- Analyze data, organize and visualise to support vehicle dynamics development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 2 years’ experience working as an engineer (inc. industry co‑op/internship, SAE project TL).
- Completed academic coursework in mechanics engineering (structures, vibrations or automotive dynamics).
General Requirements
- Experience with engineering experimentation (planning, measurements, statistical analysis, reporting)
- Experience with commercial FEA pre-processors, solvers, and post-processors
Preferred
- Experience contributing to a project as a member of a diverse team
