Job summary

Optimal in Milford, MI is seeking a Technician for Vehicle Dynamics/Body Sealing & Splash, onsite on first shift (7:00am-3:30pm). You will support vehicle development tasks including VHF/VIMF testing, body airflow, and water intrusion tests.

The role requires an automotive associate degree or ASE/Master Mechanic certification, 2–5 years of hands-on electrical/mechanical work, and the ability to manage multiple projects with autonomy while communicating effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform VHF testing - Vehicle Handling
• Perform VIMF testing - Vehicle Inertia measurement
• Perform bench marketing testing on competitor vehicles
• Perform full body airflow tests
• Perform water intrusion tests
• Perform dust intrusion tests
• Ability to dismantle and reassemble various vehicles including competitors
