Vehicle Dynamics and Simulation Engineer

Are you passionate about vehicle dynamics and control systems? We’re seeking aVehicle Dynamics Engineerto help drive virtual development and simulation for intelligent mechatronic and control systems. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative vehicle-level dynamics modeling, simulation, and control for a well-known automotive industry innovator with a 60+ year track record.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a key part of the systems and simulation engineering team, you will:

• Develop and maintainMIL/SIL vehicle dynamics simulation platformsto support virtual development and verification of vehicle control systems.
• Support thedesign, validation, and optimizationof vehicle dynamics and control algorithms (longitudinal/lateral control, braking, powertrain interaction).
• Configure, troubleshoot, and integratevehicle models into HIL platformsand driving simulators (internal and third-party).
• Collaborate onvirtual product development methodologies, helping define test plans and data acquisition strategies for bothbench and road testing.
• Contribute toModel-Based Design(MBD) development for vehicle dynamic controls.
• Continuously improve virtual development processes and expand simulation capabilities to support cross-functional R&D efforts.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inMechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experiencein vehicle dynamics, simulation, or control systems, ideally within theautomotive industry.
• Strong foundation incontrol theoryandvehicle dynamics.
• Experience using MATLAB/Simulinkfor model-based design and simulation
• Solid C programmingfor embedded system development
• Experience using Pythonfor automation, analysis, and tool development
• Familiarity withISO 26262functional safety standards preferred
• Experience withCarRealTimeis a plus

Must belocal to the Sunnyvale areaor within commuting distance. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Sorry, visa sponsorship is also not available.
