Job summary

Stellantis NV is seeking an experienced Vehicle Durability CAE Engineer to design, simulate, and validate vehicle components to meet durability targets. You will leverage FEA and MBD tools to predict issues across full vehicle platforms.

Responsibilities include running CAE simulations with ANSA, Abaqus, Nastran and Metapost, collaborating with design teams, and presenting results to leadership. Master’s degree is a plus and 8+ years in CAE durability analysis are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 8+ years of experience in CAE durability analysis.
• Proficient with ANSA, Abaqus, Nastran and Metapost.
• Strong understanding of suspension, structural mechanics and fatigue theory.
• Experience with nCode or DesignLife for fatigue analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute CAE simulations to assess durability performance.
• Use ANSA, Abaqus, Nastran and Metapost to model full vehicle systems.
• Collaborate with design engineering to meet DSM requirements.
• Perform root cause analysis of failures observed in physical testing.
• Post-process simulation data, including damage calculations and load histograms.
• Document findings and present to cross-functional teams.
• Maintain and update simulation models with design iterations.
• Coordinate with test engineers to correlate simulations with tests.
