Job summary

Stellantis NV in Alabama seeks a Vehicle Durability CAE Engineer to design, simulate, and validate vehicle components for durability and structural performance. You will use FEA and MBD tools to predict issues across full vehicle platforms and work with design teams to ensure feasible solutions.

You will perform simulations, analyze results, and communicate findings to leadership, while updating models based on new designs and test feedback. Mastery of CAE tools and fatigue theory is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, structural, civil, or automotive engineering.
• At least 8 years of CAE durability analysis experience.
• Proficiency with ANSA, Abaqus, Nastran and Metapost; familiarity with nCode or DesignLife.
• Strong understanding of fatigue theory and vehicle suspension systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute CAE simulations to assess durability performance of vehicle structures and components.
• Coordinate with test engineers to correlate simulation results with physical test data.
• Perform root cause analysis of failures observed during physical validation testing and propose corrective actions.
• Document and present findings to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Maintain and update simulation models based on latest design iterations and test feedback.
