Job summary

Slate Auto LLC is seeking a motivated Vehicle CAE Engineer to join the team in the USA. You will perform NVH, durability, strength, and stiffness simulations to support EV body, chassis, and closure structures.

You will build and run full-vehicle models using ANSA, HyperMesh, Optistruct, and nCode, analyze results, and provide actionable improvements. Collaboration with design, manufacturing, and suppliers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• 3–5 years of automotive structures CAE experience with NVH or durability exposure.
• Solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles and product development.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with CAE tools including nCode, Optistruct/NASTRAN, ANSA, and HyperWorks.
• Experience or coursework related to EV structural CAE considerations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support NVH and durability analysis for BIW, HV Battery structure, Trimmed Body, and full vehicle structures using ANSA, Optistruct, and nCode Design Life.
• Build, run, and debug full vehicle NVH and durability models using ANSA and HyperMesh.
• Analyze simulation results and provide design improvement recommendations.
• Perform iterative simulations to optimize component and vehicle-level performance.
• Support vehicle testing activities and correlate CAE results with test data.
• Apply DOE and design optimization methods to CAE workflows.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing simulation results and actions.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supplier teams to meet performance targets.
