Job summary

Rivian seeks a Vehicle Development Engineer II to own and execute diverse projects across System Design and System Testing in EV product development. You will evaluate prototype vehicles, translate observations into defined problems, and drive investigations through the V-model lifecycle.

You will document defects, lead domain software testing, and deploy domain software to the internal fleet for cross-functional validation, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience with ADAS, CAN and diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of vehicle wiring diagrams and CAD interoperability.
• Experience driving prototype vehicles and systems integration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate prototype vehicle functionality on public roads and test tracks.
• Transform observations into problem statements and drive investigations.
• Document defects and advocate for fast containment and resolution.
• Perform vehicle software testing and ensure functionality before release.
• Support remote site testing in varied environments and travel up to 10%.
• Transfer knowledge to shop technicians and manufacturing teams.
