Job summary

Stellantis N.V. in the United States seeks an experienced Vehicle System Integration Engineer focused on Software Cybersecurity Testing to drive system integration, verification and validation for next-generation vehicle controllers and software platforms.

The role validates embedded cybersecurity mechanisms across multidomain HPC and Zonal ECUs using hardware benches and HIL environments, including secure boot, secure updates, ECU authentication, and key management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive embedded software, system integration, ECU testing, or vehicle network development, including at least 3 years in automotive cybersecurity feature verification or security testing.
• Strong understanding of automotive E/E architecture and distributed ECU systems.
• Experience testing automotive cybersecurity mechanisms (secure boot, secure flashing/updates, ECU authentication, key management, HSM, diagnostics).
• Hands-on experience with debugging and test tools (Lauterbach, Vector CANoe/CAPL, Vector VT System, dSPACE HIL).
• Strong programming/scripting in CAPL and Python; C/C++ knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, SOME/IP, and UDS; requirements-driven testing and test management tools (DOORS Next Gen, IBM RTC, Jira).
• Understanding of software development, system integration and validation processes in automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform system integration and cybersecurity verification on multidomain HPC and Zonal ECU platforms.
• Integrate ECU software, flash/configure, and run cybersecurity test scenarios on physical benches and HIL environments.
• Develop and execute requirements-based test cases for cybersecurity features (secure boot, secure updates, ECU authentication, key management, HSM, diagnostics).
• Validate cybersecurity functionality across ECU boundaries and interactions between HPC, Zonal controllers, and other domains.
• Use Lauterbach, CANoe/CAPL, VT System, and dSPACE HIL for test execution, debugging and analysis.
• Develop CAPL and Python scripts to automate test scenarios and improve coverage and efficiency.
• Validate communication and diagnostic interfaces over CAN, LIN and Automotive Ethernet.
• Review requirements, identify coverage gaps, ensure traceability and CI integration.
