Job summary

Alten USA is seeking a passionate systems engineer to bridge vehicle communications with external interfaces via multiple protocols. You will ensure mobile apps and connectivity plans are executed with high quality while collaborating across functions.

You will develop requirements for mobile apps, design vehicle-side components, and implement security features interfacing with ECUs and cloud services. This role offers growth opportunities within a federal contractor environment.

Qualifications

Experience building mobile apps with a large user base interfacing cloud/server applications.
Experience in Android and iOS subsystems involving audio/video playback and vehicle interfaces.
Design endpoints for internal and user-facing devices using REST/OpenAPI specs.
Proficiency with Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS apps.
Experience decomposing vehicle functions for mobile apps and cloud offerings.

Responsibilities

Develop mobile application requirements and manage development, sourcing, and engineering of solutions.
Design vehicle-side system components interacting with a commercial-grade mobile app.
Develop connectivity security requirements and features for vehicle apps and modules.
Collaborate to define vehicle architecture enabling mobile-app connectivity to ECUs.
Implement UI/UX backend, framework, and frontend features for Android/iOS environments.
Lead collaboration with third-party suppliers for requirements elicitation and testing.
Document development plans, processes, and mobile applications.
Benchmark and research vehicle attributes, market trends for mobile apps and infotainment.
Shape technology roadmap with industry partners for connectivity and Wi-Fi features.
Test, verify and validate mobile app software using industry tools.
