Job summary

Rimkus in the United States seeks an experienced Vehicle Collision Reconstructionist to investigate and reconstruct motor vehicle collisions and prepare defensible expert opinions for litigation.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years of collision reconstruction experience, strong technical writing, and the ability to clearly communicate findings to clients, attorneys, and juries. PE license and ACTAR certification are required, with UAV/drone credentials a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related).
• PE license required or active in process.
• ACTAR certification. FAA Part 107 remote pilot credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed reconstruction of single- and multi-vehicle collisions using engineering principles and CAE tools.
• Conduct field investigations and collision scene inspections.
• Inspect vehicles and mechanical systems; analyze data from ECMs and EDRs/ACMs.
• Prepare clear written reports and defend opinions in deposition or trial.
• Interface with clients and attorneys; manage project scopes and schedules.
