Job summary

Rimkus in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Traffic Engineer with accident reconstruction expertise to analyze, map, and reconstruct vehicular collisions. You will prepare demonstrative diagrams, reports, and provide expert testimony when required, using CAE-based tools.

A PE license and a Bachelor's in Engineering are required; 2–10+ years of experience preferred. Travel up to 25% may be required, with a solid benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• PE license is required.
• Master's degree or PhD in engineering preferred.
• Part-time and ex-law enforcement officers with 6+ years of accident reconstruction experience.
• 2-10+ years of experience required.
• PTOE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconstructing vehicular collisions using analysis, CAE-based tools, and test data where appropriate.
• Provide collision scene evidence analysis and forensic mapping of collision sites and vehicles.
• Analyze single and multiple vehicle collisions, and intersection traffic signal analysis.
• Prepare and present demonstrative diagrams and charts and provide an analysis of the cause of various incidents.
• Document and preserve evidence, prepare written reports of findings, and provide expert testimony in litigation as necessary.
• Inspect roadways, traffic signals, traffic control devices, cars, trucks, or other transportation forms.
