Cox Automotive is seeking a Logistics Specialist I for evening shifts at a Cox location in the USA. The role focuses on entering vehicle data, labeling, routing, and safety compliance to ensure smooth auction logistics. Candidates should be able to lift light loads and operate standard equipment.

Responsibilities include data protection, vehicle prep, and supporting transport and facility tasks. The position is based in a Cox location with eligibility for additional compensation programs.

Responsibilities

• Input vehicle data into AS400 using handheld TC-75, including VIN, stock, dealer ID, make, model, year, mileage and color.
• Affix barcode/stock number stickers to vehicles on arrival.
• Apply work order numbers and routing labels to vehicles.
• Direct transporters to vehicle drop zones and report any damage.
• Remove personal data from vehicles and reset navigation data as needed.
• Support safety initiatives and assist with routine upkeep for operations.

Company Cox Automotive - USA Job Family Group Vehicle Operations Job Profile Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I Management Level Individual Contributor Flexible Work Option No remote option; must work at a specified Cox location Travel % No Work Shift Evening Compensation Hourly base pay rate is $16.63 - $24.90/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Key Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 system using a handheld device (TC-75), including: VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) Stock number Dealer ID Make, model, year, mileage, color, options
• Affix barcode/stock number stickers to each vehicle upon arrival
• Apply work order numbers and routing labels to vehicles
• Identify and flag “no key” vehicles
• Direct transporters to designated vehicle drop zones
• Inspect and report transport damage as required
• Provide proper sale identification windshield codes
• Data Protection & Vehicle Preparation Remove and clear all personal information from vehicles, including documents, saved contacts, and identifiable items
• Reset or remove navigation system data (addresses, history, Bluetooth pairings, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with company policies regarding customer data privacy and security
• Facility & Equipment Support Perform basic fit tunnel maintenance, including: Keeping the area clean and organized
• Reporting equipment issues or malfunctions
• Assisting with routine upkeep to ensure operational efficiency
• Safety & Team Support Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by following all safety procedures and guidelines
• Support Safety Excellence initiatives and work with leadership on safety activities
• Assist with additional operational duties as assigned, including: Driving vehicles through auction lanes on sale days

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Generally, less than 2 years’ experience in a related field.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule: SUNDAY-WEDNESDAY 12:00 PM-10:00PM

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of auction or vehicle registration experience
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
• Physical Requirements Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
