Job summary

Hawaiian Electric is seeking a Professional Supervisor to lead the Vegetation Management program across Oahu. The role oversees field teams, budgets and contractor management to ensure safe, cost-effective service reliability.

You will develop policies, manage communications and coordinate with stakeholders to advance corporate goals. The position requires strong supervisory skills, budgeting experience and the ability to work with government and community groups, with occasional travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering, business, forestry, arboriculture, or related fields.
• Good working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting.
• Thorough knowledge of electric utility transmission and distribution construction, maintenance and operations.
• Good working knowledge of statutes and regulations related to construction and vegetation management.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and manages the Vegetation Management Program and its personnel.
• Implements program priorities and develops policies and procedures.
• Monitors the program budget and forecasting of costs.
• Represents the company in relationships with community and government groups and provides testimony when required.
• Performs duties of System Arborist as required.
• Communicates between departments to foster teamwork.
• Researches and analyzes data to improve productivity.
