Job summary

Entergy Texas, Inc.-GTX is seeking an Operations Coordinator - Vegetation to safely manage vegetation programs that protect high-voltage transmission. You will handle budgeting, contracting, and planning while promoting safety and compliant field operations.

The role requires significant experience in vegetation management within electric utilities, ISA certification, and the ability to coordinate across multiple departments and contractors.

Qualifications

• College degree (Forestry or related field) strongly preferred
• 2+ years Vegetation Management experience OR 7+ years electric utility Vegetation Management/Line Management experience REQUIRED
• ISA Certified Arborist
• Pesticide License with State Plant Board preferred
• Proven safe work and driving record
• Knowledge of T&D electrical systems and maintenance operations
• Ability to work extended hours including Call-Out duties
• Ability to fly long hours in helicopter patrols as part of the job

Responsibilities

• Schedule, assign, and monitor contract work for VM and safety requirements
• Perform field inspections and document observations; maintain records
• Develop and promote safety leadership among crew and contractors
• Manage Transmission Vegetation program in compliance with NERC FAC-003
• Coordinate with PM&C/Construction for ROW projects; oversee planning and budgets
• Develop yearly maintenance plans; audit contractor invoices for accuracy
• Monitor reliability and implement improvement plans in assigned areas
• Coordinate emergency restoration and storm response across Entergy service territory
