Job summary

Entergy Corporation in Louisiana seeks a Supervisor, Vegetation Management to oversee vegetation programs, contract management, and vendor coordination to protect distribution assets.

You will lead Entergy staff and contractors, manage budgets, and drive VM technology while coordinating with field operations to maintain service reliability. This role involves travel and leadership across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Horticulturalist, or related field.
• 5-7 years’ experience in utility arboriculture or related field.
• Forestry discipline preferred; contractor management experience preferred.
• Licensed Arborist strongly desired; LDAF Utility Arborist License preferred if available.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Entergy staff (15) and multiple contractors/contract employees (632).
• Develop and manage annual vegetation maintenance budget.
• Ensure program requirements meet system standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain on vegetation contracts and bidding processes.
• Ensure availability of contractor personnel and equipment to complete programs safely and on time.
• Promote VM technology to advance Entergy’s vegetation management program.

Education

Bachelor's degree in related field

5-7 years utility arboriculture experience

LDAF Utility Arborist License preferred

Licensed Arborist strongly desired
