Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Vegetable Seeds Intern to support and learn the fundamentals of vegetable seed manufacturing in Idaho. You will build relationships with regional and global stakeholders and contribute to operational, field, and process-improvement activities that enable high-quality seed production.

The role involves documentation, field activities, data validation, SAP reporting, and collaboration across teams to drive reliability, quality, and cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation to worksite.
• Ability to build relationships and work well in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills across organization levels.
• Self-motivated with a results orientation and deadline management.
• Strong attention to detail and data organization.
• Excellent computer skills for data acquisition and record keeping.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with documentation of operational processes within the Manufacturing Excellence function.
• Collaborate with onsite Manufacturing teams on key projects and deliverables.
• Support field activities including seed shipment, reconciliation, and trial coordination.
• Perform data validation and SAP reporting to support global/regional operations.
• Support Quality and HSE programs to drive metrics and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities.
• Work with Crop Specialists and Production to implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Contribute to global/regional initiatives on standardization and optimization.
