Job summary

Bayer CropScience is seeking a Vegetable Seed Intern in Oxnard, CA to learn the fundamentals of vegetable seed manufacturing and support key operational, quality, and process improvement activities. You will engage with regional and global stakeholders and contribute to reliable seed production.

Responsibilities include documenting processes, executing projects with Manufacturing teams, performing SAP data validation, and supporting Quality/HSE programs.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a junior college or bachelor's program in an agricultural-related field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the worksite.
• Ability to build relationships and work well in a team-based environment.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a results orientation and deadline discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist with documentation of operational processes within the Manufacturing Excellence function.
• Work with onsite Manufacturing teams to execute key projects and deliverables in processing of vegetable seeds.
• Complete data validation and SAP reports to support global and regional operations needs.
• Support Quality and HSE functions to drive key programs and metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional regional and global teams to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Cooperate with Crop Specialists, Field Quality, Production Research, or Seed Technology personnel to implement projects.
• Work with global and regional teams on business initiatives and standardization projects.
