Job summary

RICEFW Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to manage provisioning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware and software. The role emphasizes reliability, security, and ongoing optimization within a dynamic IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily system performance and ensure availability of hardware, servers, and critical processes.
• Perform backups, verify integrity, and manage storage and archives.
• Create, modify, and delete user accounts as requested and manage access controls.
• Provide Tier III/other support to various stakeholders and troubleshoot hardware/software failures.
• Apply OS patches and upgrades; configure new services as needed.
• Maintain procedures and generate periodic performance reports for capacity planning.
• Tune performance, upgrade hardware, and manage data center resources.

Responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, documentation, operation,and maintenance of computer hardware and software and related infrastructure.

Job Description

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Systems administration engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation.

Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.

Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.

Perform/verify daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media/network location.

Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary. Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.

Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues. Diagnose and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.

Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.

Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures. Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.

Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required. Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.

Upgrade and configure system software or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs.

Experience with VMware ESXi 7.x (or higher),Microsoft Windows Server (2016, 2019,2022, 2025), and Linux environments preferred.
