Job summary

Lincoln Industries in Wisconsin is seeking a VDM Operator to prepare parts for plating by running them through the vapor degreasing operation and ensuring cosmetic readiness.

You will set up the washer, monitor chemistry and temperatures, and document production data. This role requires reading and following instructions, good communication, and safe, precise work.

Experience with light manufacturing is a plus; training provided.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required with one-year related experience or training.
Must be able to read, write and comprehend English to communicate with vendors and interpret invoices.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

SUMMARY

The purpose of this job is to prepare parts for plating operations by processing them through the vapor degreasing operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare parts for plating through vapor degreasing
Visually inspect parts after washing to ensure they are meeting cosmetic requirements for plating.
Set up machine and monitor chemistry levels and temperatures.
Cleans and maintains area and equipment.
Records production data on specified forms.
Performs secondary assembly, hand cleaning, or other required steps.
Follow established safety procedures and work instructions.

Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
Could potentially encounter hazardous chemicals.
Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

Reports to: Production Supervisor/General Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience:

Expected: High School Diploma or Equivalent. One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communication Skills

Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language to communicate well with our vendors, internal suppliers and interpret invoices.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Other Skills

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
