SUMMARY:
The purpose of this job is to process parts according to customer specifications and production efficiencies by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reads traveler to determine the optimum process for the designated part to be plated. Follows the traveler process specifications step by step.
- Sets up and controls plating equipment to coat metal object electrolytically or chemically with chromium, copper, cadmium, nickel, zinc, or other metal to provide protective, decorative or engineering surfaces.
- Monitors process control of all plating and cleaning baths to ensure process within predetermined parameters.
- Follows established safety procedures and work instructions.
- Measures, marks and masks areas exclude from plating per traveler.
- Operates manual hoist or automatic hoist system for submerging the parts in plating or cleaning baths. This may also be performed by hand.
- Racks parts by hand onto racks using racking work instructions.
- Plates parts using motor driven barrel system.
- May operate electroplating equipment with reverse polarity, known as platting stripper.
- May work with substances defined as hazardous waste, such as chrome sludge.
- Could potentially handle hazardous waste in containerizing, transporting, testing, or other assigned duties.
- Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

Education and/or Experience:
Expected: Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.
Communication Skills:

- Must be able to read safety warnings and chemical labels.
- Must be able to communicate verbally with others.
