Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced VDI Engineer to support an IC customer/contract in the St. Louis, MO area. This position will support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment. The role will serve as the SME in troubleshooting all related performance issues across the organization. Security requirements include a TS/SCI clearance and eligibility to obtain a CI polygraph.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide TIER 3/4 support to system administrators to resolve VDI issues.
- Guide on optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
- Offer endpoint support on issues and trouble resolution tasks related to Virtual Desktop.
- Maintain advanced knowledge in the administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure technologies.
- Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Apply extensive technical expertise and possess full knowledge of related disciplines.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v7.15 and later
- Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS)
- Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD)
- Citrix Netscaler / ADC / VPX
- Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM)
- Citrix App Layering
- Liquidware Profile Unity
- Hyper V, VMWare VDI (Microsoft or Citrix NetScalers / ADCs)
Desired Skills:
- Experience managing and administering Windows Server clustering
- Experience with Infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
- System Center Virtual Machine Manager / VMWare vCenter 6.7
- Active Directory / Group Policies
- Home Directory and Profile management Support Services
- Desktop Software provisioning and Support Services
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years IT experience
