Job summary

Accelera Solutions is seeking a VDI Engineer in Chantilly, VA, hybrid role requiring active DoD secret clearance. You will design and implement VDI solutions across USAF environments, automate VM deployment, and maintain base images.

You will monitor performance, apply security best practices (STIG/NIST), develop automation scripts (Python/Ansible), and collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to deliver reliable user experiences.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• 15+ years of relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree may substitute 5 years.
• 5+ years of Azure, Kubernetes, Windows Server, ADDS/ADCS/ADFS experience.
• Experience securing systems to STIG/NIST/FEDRAMP and IA coordination.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and implement VDI solutions with scalability and security.
• Automate VM provisioning and deployment; maintain base images.
• Monitor VDI performance; optimize for cost, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and sysadmins; document architectures.
• Follow planning, backlog refinement, and release processes.
