Job summary

American Structurepoint is seeking a skilled VDI Support Specialist to join the Information Technology group in Indianapolis, IN. The role centers on managing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and maintaining a robust virtual desktop infrastructure.

You will work with IT Support and Applications teams to install, update, and optimize virtual images, ensuring security and performance while documenting changes and training staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (design, administration, and support).
• Strong knowledge of VDI technologies and image management best practices.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with proactive problem solving.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, and support of the virtual environment with secure operations.
• Administer and maintain multiple virtual images in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops; manage updates and security patches.
• Collaborate with IT Support and Applications teams for installations and optimizations.
• Identify, propose, and implement updates to virtual images to improve security and performance.
• Plan and execute virtual image upgrades across dev, test, and prod with minimal disruption.
• Plan, document, publish, and track changes to virtual images for clear communication.
• Provide Tier 2 support for issues related to the virtual environment.
• Develop and deliver training and documentation for the IT Support team.
• Adhere to standards and seek continuous process improvements.
