Job summary

North Mechanical Contracting and Service, based in Indianapolis, is seeking an experienced VDC Manager to lead the Virtual Design and Construction department for our mechanical and plumbing contracting operations. This full-time role reports to the Director of Construction and requires coordinating with operations, fabrication, and field teams to meet project milestones.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in VDC/BIM, strong leadership, and proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, and Stratus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in VDC, BIM, mechanical/plumbing detailing, or related field.
• Strong leadership, organization, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily VDC department operations and priorities.
• Plan staffing, capacity, and project assignments for VDC team.
• Review project schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Monitor budgeted hours and develop project recovery plans.
• Coordinate with Project Operations, Preconstruction, Fabrication, and field teams.
