Job summary

Vaughn Industries is seeking a VDC Utility Coordinator to support high voltage, substation and renewable energy projects from Carey or Columbus offices in Ohio. You will prepare coordination plans and drawings for new construction and upgrades, working with construction teams to facilitate modeling, scheduling, and collaboration across subsystems.

This role emphasizes reading and interpreting substation and renewable energy drawings, coordinating with project managers and field staff, and

Qualifications

2–4 years in HV Substation/Transmission/Distribution or 2–4 years with CAD software.
Ability to read and interpret substation, transmission line, and renewable energy drawings and specs.
Degree or certificate in CAD/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Construct layouts for high voltage and renewable systems on utility projects
Coordinate with project managers and owners early in design process for sequencing and safety
Collaborate with field and office personnel to ensure constructability of design
Generate installation drawings for field and prefabrication use
Perform minimal design calculations using sound engineering practices
Conduct field surveys to document existing conditions
