Job summary

CarolinaPower is seeking a VDC Specialist I to support electrical modeling, drafting and field coordination within PPC Partners, Inc. This role focuses on translating design intent into precise digital layouts and coordinating with project teams.

The position requires exposure to Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and BlueBeam, with 0–2 years experience in VDC preferred. Travel to job sites may be necessary, and safety is a priority in our collaborative, servant-leader culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred in Architectural Technology or related field; construction experience acceptable.
• 0-2 years of experience in VDC preferred.
• Exposure to or experience with Revit, AutoCAD, AutoDesk Suite, BIM 360 and BlueBeam.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models of electrical components to support construction and prefabrication workflows, under supervision.
• Coordinate models and drawings with VDC team members, Project Managers, and field supervisors.
• Produce 2D drawings for prefabrication, one-lines, device layouts, and as-builts as required by the project.
• Maintain file organization and update records of all drawings and project files.
• Attend project coordination meetings and visit job sites to support field layout efforts.
• Promote safety by pre-planning hazards and ensuring open communication between site and office.
