Job summary

VEC is seeking a VDC Specialist/Electrical in San Francisco to own BIM projects from setup to deliverables, ensure QA/QC, and provide direct client services. You will model, coordinate with trades, and help respond to pricing and schedule needs while managing a remote team when required.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in BIM/VDC, strong Revit/AutoCAD/Navisworks proficiency, and a solid grasp of electrical systems and NEC guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of BIM/VDC experience with construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam and Procore.
• Experience coordinating across multiple disciplines in BIM.

Responsibilities

• BIM Projects Setup/Start Up/Procedures/Deliverables: manage project setup, document management, task assignment, and client communication.
• Quality Control/QA/QC: review progress, identify clashes, develop QA/QC lists, and ensure deliverables meet standards.
• Direct Client Service: daily communications, issue resolution, and handling client requests.

Overview

As a VDC Specialist/Electrical, you will be responsible for ownership in three primary categories:

• BIM project set up to include developing procedures and ensuring deliverables
• Quality control to include quality assurance (QA/QC)
• Direct client services

You will also have a supportive role in the following:

What We're Looking For

• 2-3 years of BIM or VDC experience
• Strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Procore.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, conduit routing, NEC codes, and field installation practices.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary coordination efforts in BIM.
• Ability to analyze modeling challenges and provide constructible solutions.
• Strong ability to collaborate with contractors, project managers, and field teams.
• Take full responsibility for BIM model accuracy, project success, and team collaboration.

Work Environment

• 100% onsite at our San Francisco headquarters.
• Collaborative environment with frequent team meetings and project briefings.
• Potential for travel depending on project locations.

Compensation Range:

$33.65-$43.27 an hour
