Job summary

Power Design, Inc. seeks a VDC Design Manager/Senior Design Manager to lead the virtual design and coordination for complex projects.

You will drive BIM deliverables, constructability reviews, installation planning, and collaboration with operations, engineers, and trade partners to ensure compliant, cost-effective installations. You will guide clash detection, manage schedules, review BIM plans, and contribute to value engineering while upholding Power Design standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate's/Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in construction, VDC, BIM modeling, detailing, or installation.
  • Strong knowledge of codes, installation methods and coordination workflows.
  • Proficiency with Revit; working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the VDC coordination process from preconstruction through design completion.
  • Manage coordination schedules, deliverables, and BIM timelines.
  • Facilitate clash detection and resolve design/constructability conflicts.
  • Review BIM models, drawings, and installation documentation.
  • Provide guidance to VDC team and collaborate across teams.

About the PositionThe VDC Design Manager/Senior Design Manager plays a critical role in the successful delivery of construction projects by leading the virtual design and coordination process for assigned projects. This position is responsible for managing project coordination, constructability reviews, installation planning, and BIM deliverables while ensuring compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, and Power Design best practices.The VDC Design Manager/Senior Design Manager works closely with operations teams, customers, consultants, engineers, and trade partners to develop innovative, cost-effective, and constructible solutions that support successful project execution.
