Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction, VDC, BIM modeling, detailing, or installation.
• Proficiency with Revit; working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, submittals, and contract documents.
• Understanding of construction coordination, clash detection, and installation best practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

About the PositionThe VDC Assistant Design Manager plays an integral role in supporting the Preconstruction Virtual Design process under the supervision of a VDC Design Manager and/or Project Executive. This position is responsible for developing detailed coordination models, installation designs, shop drawings, and construction documentation utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies.The VDC Assistant Design Manager works closely with internal project teams, customers, consultants, and trade partners to develop innovative, code-compliant, and cost-effective installation solutions while maintaining Power Design best practices.
