Job summary

Sargent Electric is seeking an experienced VDC Manager to lead digital construction for electrical projects. You’ll oversee 3D electrical models, coordinated trade models, and design strategies that align with installation sequencing.

You will mentor internal and subcontracted VDC resources, drive standardization across modeling practices, and collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to resolve clashes before fabrication and installation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading VDC efforts on electrical construction projects.
• Proven ability to create and manage 3D models and coordinated trade models.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and clash detection.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across project teams.
• Proficiency with the listed BIM tools and software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety culture in modeling practices and deliverables.
• Develop and execute project-specific VDC strategies aligned with schedules.
• Mentor internal and subcontracted VDC resources for quality and consistency.
• Create and oversee 3D electrical models and construction deliverables.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors to resolve clashes.
• Support preconstruction with conceptual layouts and quantity inputs.
• Develop modeling standards, workflows, and software utilization strategies.
• Travel to project sites and training events as needed.
