Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Mid-Level Estimator / Senior Estimator to join a client in the commercial construction industry, focusing on data centers and complex commercial builds. You will develop detailed estimates by reviewing drawings, specs, and bid documents, performing quantity takeoffs, and coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams.

You will leverage Excel, Bluebeam, and Procore to manage estimates, track bid activities, and capture changes or revisions throughout the bidding

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and scope reviews.
• Experience reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed cost estimates for large-scale construction projects.

12 month contract converting to full time hire!

Position Overview

Insight Global is currently seeking a Mid-Level Estimator / Senior Estimator to join a client in the commercial construction industry. This individual will support the preparation and development of detailed cost estimates for large-scale construction projects, with an emphasis on data centers and other complex commercial builds. They will review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to perform quantity takeoffs, analyze project scope, and develop competitive pricing strategies. The estimator will coordinate subcontractor outreach, manage bid tracking activities, review drawing revisions, facilitate scope clarifications, and ensure all pricing changes and change orders are captured accurately. They will work closely with preconstruction, operations, and project management teams to align on project scope, risk assessments, constructability reviews, and value engineering opportunities. Additionally, they will utilize Excel, Bluebeam, and Procore to manage estimates, document changes, and support proposal development throughout the bidding process.

Must Haves

• 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience


• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and scope reviews


• Experience working across all construction disciplines


• Strong subcontractor bid tracking experience including:


• Drawing revisions


• Follow-ups


• Capturing scope changes


• Change order management


• Advanced Excel skills


• Procore experience


• Ability to review plans, specifications, and bid documents

Plusses

• Data center project experience strongly preferred


• Experience with Cost-OS, OST, and/or PlanSwift


• Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree

$65hr to $85hr.
