Job summary

Savage and Son, Inc. in Nevada seeks a highly motivated VDC Detailer to join our VDC Department. This full-time role focuses on industrial and commercial projects in northern Nevada, owning construction documents from start to finish with meticulous attention to detail.

You will bridge plans with flawless execution, coordinating complex plumbing/piping systems and ensuring compliance with UPC/IBC codes while collaborating with trades and management.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of construction protocols and the ability to interpret complex construction documents.
• Experience applying plumbing/piping codes and practices in a virtual environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and manage multiple tasks in a collaborative setting.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• VDC modeling and system coordination using design software (e.g., Revit, BIM tools) to coordinate plumbing/piping systems.
• Read and understand construction plans, standards, and specifications to meet all requirements.
• Take ownership of construction plans from start to finish with a strict focus on detail.
• Communicate project status and progress with team members; comply with safety and quality policies.

KeyResponsibilities

VDCModeling&SystemCoordination:

• UseVirtualDesignConstructionsoftware(suchasStratus,Revit,SysQue,BIM360,ACC,etc.)toelectronicallymodelandcoordinatecomplexplumbingandpipingsystemsonmultipleprojects.
• Understandtheprocessofcoordinatingsystemsseamlesslywithothertrades.
• Applyplumbingandpipingconstructioncodes,principles,products,andinstallationmethodswithinavirtualenvironment.

ProjectExecution&Documentation:

• Readandunderstandconstructionplans,clientstandards,specifications,andotherproject-relateddocumentstoensureallrequirementsaremet.
• Takecompleteownershipofconstructionplansfromstarttofinish,maintainingastrictfocusondetail.

Collaboration&Compliance:

• Effectivelycommunicateprojectstatusandtaskprogresswithallteammembers.
• Reportsafety,health,andqualityissuespromptlytomanagement.
• Complywiththecompanysafetypolicyandperformalldutiesinaccordancewithstandardoperatingpoliciesandprocedures.
• PerformotherdutiesasrequiredtosupporttheVDCdepartment.
